- Meta & Google Ads · Managed or taught
Ads that pay for themselves — run for you, or taught to you.
I’m Dr. Brandon Wood. I’ve managed Meta and Google ad accounts since 2019. I’ll either run yours, or sit beside you and show you exactly how I’d do it — keep me on, or keep the skills. Your call.

Pick the amount of help you actually want.
Every engagement starts with the same question: do you want this done for you, or do you want to learn to do it yourself? Both are real options here. Most agencies only offer one.

I'm the right call for some businesses and the wrong one for others.
- Probably a good fit
- You're the owner, or you can make decisions without a committee
- You can spend at least $3,000/month on ads, or you're ready to
- You sell something people already search for or would stop scrolling for
- You want to understand your own numbers, not just receive them
- Probably a good fit
- You need ads to rescue a product nobody has bought yet
- You want a guaranteed result before any data exists
- You're looking for the cheapest possible manager
- You'd rather not look at the account at all, ever
The things agencies won't put in writing.
I’ve spent years watching business owners get sold “a team” and get a junior account manager. Here’s the deal I’d want if I were on your side of the table.
No contracts longer than a month
If the numbers stop working, you leave. That keeps me honest in a way a 12-month agreement never will.
You own everything
I show my work
Monthly reports are a recorded screen walkthrough of your actual account, not a dashboard with a green arrow on it.
I'll tell you when ads won't work
Some budgets and markets can’t produce the result you want. I’d rather say so on the first call than take your money for three months.
What happened, what I did, and what it did for them.
E-commerce · Google, Meta & Bing
Earth Hero — eco-products retailer
Situation. Needed better than 3× return on ad spend and broader brand awareness.
What I did. Built search, display and social from scratch, found the winning copy, then rebuilt retargeting around it.
Result. 3.0–6.2× ROAS, sustained through a period of rapid growth.
E-commerce · Paid search & social
Koa's House — pet supplies
Result. Store conversion rate 1.59% → 2.99%; ad cost cut roughly in half.
Local business · Meta Ads
CycleCraft — Turkey Run event
Situation. A 10th-annual charity ride needed more online sign-ups than the year before.
What I did. Four ad sets — past riders, new riders, and friends-of-riders — with age- and gender-specific copy, split-tested for a week.
Result. 158 sign-ups vs 92 the year before: +72%.
The attention to detail and knowledge has almost doubled our conversion rate and cut our ad cost in half. The communication is perfect.
William S. · Koa’s House Pet Supplies
“Transparency and honesty are appreciated. They are not afraid to tell me when the desired result cannot happen due to budget or market restraints.”
Richard B. · US Culture
“We were able to turn a small ad budget into a large profit-making machine. They were also able to teach other members, lead, and troubleshoot.”
Stephanie B. · Firelight Studios
One person. Every account. Since 2019.
I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration and I’ve run paid search and paid social for e-commerce brands, law firms, local businesses and service companies. When you hire ProActive PPC, you get me — the person who built the campaigns in the case studies above — not a team that rotates every quarter.
I’d rather build the system than place one tile. Outside client work that shows up as software: I design and sell tools for game developers — 70+ products with 900+ downloads a month — which is a long way of saying I like things that work without me standing over them. That’s how I build ad accounts, too.
On Dr. Wood Recommends I argue with the business advice everyone repeats. Come disagree with me.

Fundamentals of Marketing Semester Overview (ft. James T. Moneybags)
The ones people ask on the first call.
How much do I need to spend on ads?
Enough to learn something in the first month — for most businesses that’s $3,000 or more. Below that, the data is too thin to make decisions from, and I’ll say so. The teach-consulting program works at smaller budgets because you’re paying for the skill, not the volume.
Do you work with my industry?
Probably. I’ve run accounts for e-commerce, law firms, local service businesses, events and B2B. What matters more than the industry is whether people are already looking for what you sell, or would stop for it. That’s the first thing I check on the call.
What does the first month look like?
Week one is access, tracking and research. Week two the first campaigns go live. Weeks three and four are about finding what converts and cutting what doesn’t. You get a recorded walkthrough at the end of the month showing exactly what happened and what changes next.
What happens if I stop working with you?
Nothing dramatic. The accounts, audiences, pixels and creative were in your name the whole time. I remove my access, send you a final walkthrough, and you carry on — with me on retainer for questions if you want, or not.
Twenty minutes. I'll tell you if ads will work for you.
No pitch deck. Bring your budget and your goal; I’ll bring an honest answer and, if it fits, a plan. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
